Daily Meditation — 11/6/20

A friend sent this drawing. Please let me know if you knew who drew this so I can properly give credit.

Isn’t life wonderful when the sun is shining, everything is going right, and you don’t have a care in the world? How life rolls out the red carpet, and nothing can bring you down.

Yeah, that’s the good stuff.

But as we all know, life doesn’t stay clear skies and smooth sailing every day. We always get storms. Sometimes they last a day. Other times they last for years.

Some storms come in the form of lost jobs, a child passing, drug addiction, abandoned dreams.

But what storms do is remind us that we need the pain to experience true beauty and fulfillment. That only when we have been beaten down can our rigid parts be made soft.

To pass through a storm and come out stronger is the most beautiful transformation, any one of us can experience.

Take today to be grateful for your storms, even if you are in the middle of it. Each drop of water is nourishing you in unexpected ways. Trust, knowing that this too shall pass, and you will be better for it happening.
